The Start-up World: Speed, Flexibility, and Finding Solutions

The rules in the start-up world are different from those in corporations. Being fast, adaptable, and always looking for win-win solutions is essential. The comfort zone can be a trap that hinders growth and innovation.

Since 2017, we have been laying the foundations as part of the Slovenian GoodBiz initiative. Our vision was to create a socially responsible company that not only develops innovations but also contributes to a better future.

1. Criticism is Essential for Growth
When we presented our business model, Matej Feguš (Donar) bluntly told us we had serious “birth pains” to solve, or else we were doomed to fail. The criticism was painful but invaluable.

Why trust a mentor? Because he has faced similar challenges and understands the pitfalls entrepreneurs face. This was the first milestone that pushed us to make changes.

2. Recognition by Leading Entrepreneurs Means You’re on the Right Path
We received real validation when we presented our idea to over 49 supporters of the program. After the presentation, Sandi Češko (Studio Moderna) approached us and said:

👉 “I want to learn more about your idea! Shall we talk during the break?”

These words still mark a breakthrough moment and a sign that we are on the right track.

3. Experimentation is Key
My entrepreneurial journey began during my economics studies, when I spent six months a year working as a tourist guide in Tunisia and the rest of the year in the family production business.

Back then, we tested our first MVP (Minimal Viable Product) – producing mouthpieces for Arabic hookahs. Without testing an idea in the market, success is impossible!

4. Connecting with the Best Opens Doors
Today, we collaborate with industrial partners investing in the development of environmentally friendly products. The only difference between the past and present is that now we develop solutions on a global level.
