Eva and Domen, the founders of EveGreen, are passionate about spending their free time actively in nature. Whether cycling or hiking, they love exploring the hidden corners of Pohorje and the surrounding hills – and they’re happy to take you along for the adventure.
Domen, a certified UCI cycling guide, together with his team, will take you along pristine and less-traveled trails.
The tour begins in Mislinja, where we first ride along the Mislinja River to the birthplace of renowned painter Jože Tisnikar. We continue through Glažuta, a former settlement of forest workers, and take a short break for refreshments after a gentle climb.
The route then descends past a natural rock climbing area that offers stunning views.
If we still have the energy, we can take an additional climb to a scenic viewpoint with majestic views of Mount Peca and Mount Uršlja Gora (both over 1,600 meters). We finish with a descent back into the valley, ending the tour where it began.
The Gastarbajter Route takes place every first Saturday of the month from May to October. Starting in Mislinja, we descend the first 35 km all the way to Dravograd, a border town near Austria situated at the confluence of the Drava, Meža, and Mislinja rivers.
We then cross the border into Austria, followed by a break for swimming and relaxation at a natural swimming spot.
Our return to Slovenia is via Libeliče, a village on the border that was joined to Yugoslavia in 1920 after a successful plebiscite. On the way back, we visit the old town center of Slovenj Gradec, refresh ourselves, and complete the tour.

Along the Volva Volcano Route:
Legend tells that the giant Volvel lived in a cave on Turjak, the hill overlooking Mislinja. Our task will be to search for traces of him. This hike is suitable for families with children.
The route covers 7 km of mostly flat terrain, taking us through forests and off-trail areas, all the way to the highest point of Mislinjski Triglav. We return via the cycling path called Štrekna.
Jump to the Pohorje Plateaus:
Did you know that the highest point of Pohorje is only 980 meters above sea level? The marked trail takes us through pristine nature all the way to Črni Vrh, from where Velika Kopa and Uršlja Gora are just a stone’s throw away. On clear days, the Kamnik–Savinja Alps can be seen in the distance.
